My Boyfriend has recently come across a JD 12A Combine in pretty good condition. He is hoping to do a restoration project on it but really know little about it! If anyone has any information regarding this combine and it's history, your help would be greatly appreciated!

Tash:

How's the project going on the 12A. I'm looking for a restored one to possibly buy.

Thanks

Tash-----

There's a 11A- 12A shop manual for sale on the auctions portion of this site. No bids yet-- closing soon. You might want to chec kit out. I think you'll probably have to copy and paste the following URL into your browser. Good luck with the old combine.

My grandad had two of those old combines. I still have the manual for the combine as well as the LUC motor. If you have any specific questions I could probably field 'em for ya. God bless.

Tash,

The article was in the March 2002 issue of Green Magazine. It covers all the older pull-type combines and doesn't go into much detail about the 12A.

My scanner is on the fritz and I don't have ready access to a photo copier, so I can't help out. Maybe someone else can.

Good luck,

Stan

I think they were covered in a recent article of Green Mag. Was a good history on pull type combines and the development.
