I've got a 3020--24volt system---not charging batterys. Generator checked out o.k. but not getting power to gen. On the side of the starter there is a small panel with a couple (circuit breaker type objects) was told they are not breakers---power doesn't seem to be going throug the one to the generator, any guess what they are and suggestions why I'm not charging. When running the gen is producing 32 volts but not to battery????--batterys check o.k. as well THANKS GUYS!!!!!

What kind of an idiot told you they weren't breakers... they ARE. I have worked with quite a number of 3020's and 4020's, and have always HATED the 24V system, but the simple fact is the 24 V system will crank better, especially when cold. You should be able to find what's wrong with your system and repair it and get many more years of service out of it.

Hey Rob,
First thing I would do, and did by the way earlier this year, is change that sucker over to 12 volt and get rid of that 24 volt mess. I do not regret doing it one bit as I use my 3020 for my custom hay baling business. You can get a kit from Deere to do this or you can get a starter adn one wire alternator and do it from scratch like I did. Had to get a 4020 fan belt to get one long enough though. Holler if you would like to know more or have any questions.

They are circuit breakers! Both breakers have to be good to complete the 24 volt circuit.
