I have a 60 Deere, has creeper gear. Where do you get the most h.p.? Should I stroke it or can i make it pull with boaring and shaving w/ a bigger carb and hot ignition? Thanks in advance!

I pull a 60 with 18/4/38 tires. With a creeper gear you should have no problem with power. The biggest problem is stopping the front end from coming up. I had to hang about 500 lbs. on front in 8500 lbs. class and pull up one class. You can put lp manifold on it and cut the center wall out to make one big hole and each piston can pull off both barrels of your carb.If you have the two barrel carb. You can find a power block to put on it that will do more good than anything.stroking gets into a lot of money.

I have a 52 JD A that I pull with and havent done anything to it and I have yet to lug down, all i do is spin out. I have 14.9x38's on her and cant keep'em from spinning. I would try that 60 like it is at first and see how she does. And if you have any wheel weights just go div.1 and usually theres not many in thoughs classes.

What I would do if I had the money would be bore it, stroke it, put a huge carb on, hottest ignition on the market, get the best exhaust system and put some sick pulling tires on. Thats just what I wish for.

My 60 has plenty of power for stock class pulling, it is only .045 on the bore and stock elsewhere, unless you want to spend alot of money, pull it in this form and have as much fun for cheap. I pull 6500 , 7500, and sometimes 8500 and have yet to stall it.
