put plow snow plow on tractor and turned power troll and was growling so i sut it off and checked it was 2 qts low filled and same trouble sound like it is coming oout of the govner housing but only when hydro are on help

~Rob, are you sure the hydraulic oil is coming out at the governor housing? Maybe the hydraulic cylinders on the plow were empty & you are just still filling them. If it is coming out of the pump at the governor housing it would be going into the crankcase & the crankcase would then be overfilled. (see if it is overfull). ~If it is leaking out of the pump you will have to replace the seal in the pump.
~Maybe what you are hearing is just the pump moving the oil through it.

If you turned the powr-trol pump on while the engine was running, I bet you have a sheared key or engagement mechanism. Turn the pump to on with the engine off, then start it up and the pump will be engaged. If you did that, there is most likely some problem in the pump. They are aupposed to be self priming, and I have never had problems with air or the like. I have had to fix several keys that were stripped by a previous owner not knowing how to operate the system. Deere still has an exceleny manual on the hydraulic systems, I cna get the number if you want it. Hope that helped.
