I'm a beginner, aquired the B with the engine locked, ( the rod cap was lodged tight between the crank and the block ) decided to rebuild and removed all until i got to the block when the serv manual called for a ridge reamer tool..... the tractor is now at the local tractor repair facility ... - i have had to replace the block and now im advised i need to have the crank built up and turned for over $700 - I'm a beginner not wealthy ( the block was a shocker ) so i am looking for suggestions on the crank as to dealers for major parts etc where there will be a fair price for a good product ??

Doesn't sound to good for the tractor. If the rest is in good shape keep going. If not you may want to think about parting out the tractor.

As for parts there is a good site that lists tractor juck yards at atis.net/salyards.shtml. You can try a few of them. You can also list what you want on the classified ads on this site. You will get a variety of prices and qualities.

I have found my best deals and qualities from individuals and from swap meets.

Is there a site that lists swap meets?
Thanks,

I haven't found a site that lists Swap meets. Most of the sites that have lists have ones that are really outdated (one or more years old). You can post a message on this board and ask about them in the area you live in. Someone is sure to answer if any are coming up. Good Luck in your hunt.
