720 Pony Motor Camshaft

Any body have or know where i can get a good used or prefferibly new camshaft for one of these little motors?

Most quality engine rebuilding shops have connections with cam grinding shops. The old cam is welded up if required & machined true. It was cheaper to do this with our 70D than purchase a used cam. Surface hardening is performed if necessary. Either use new lifters or have them re-surfaced in the same shop. New sleeves for pup engines are available to reduce the "blue" starting cloud. Replace the pup coolant pump seals as well. A classic place to allow coolant leaks into ruin the rods.

Good point, but if you renew the pony water pump seals, check the shaft for pitting...it is no longer available, but Greg Stephens does reproduce them.

Been there done that !
