I think that is probably one of the nicest wide front assy's I have seen in some time. It's not all busted up and repaired like so many. It's even correct for the serial number by not having the saddle cast at the top.
Were you ever able to find out if it was a true AW or not? I see you also got the cast disc wheels of the original design for 10 spline, and maybe split rims as well. Very nice find. Hope you got lucky enough to get it at a decent price. It has more than potential.
