29 GP question

I've got the governor off my '29 GP to free it up and replace the bearings and was trying to figure out how the governor gets lubricated. The other ones I've worked on have oil lines and oil passages. Am I overlooking something?

Jdal,
There is a dedicated oil line that runs from the oil distribution point underneath the oil pressure indicator. It runs under the crank kind of on the bottom of the crankcase towards the front of the tractor. It comes up into an orifice that sprays an oil mist into the governor cavity. Not the best system but if the line is clear and the orifice is clear it does work. Look for a small hole in the top of the main case that looks like a bolt hole but really is where the orifice is. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll check that out. I've got the "Red Head" freed up so it rises when I turn it over by hand so I should be able to check to see that the passage is clear.
