Have a 2510 Gas - changed engine oil and filter - om said 7 qts w/ filter change - only took 6 qts to engine full mark on dipstick - this after running and letting sit for 5 minutes - perhaps they meant diesel engine not the gas. anybody out with the gas engine?

I have a 2520 and both shop manual and owners manual show 6 quarts with filter. Same for both gas and diesel. Six quarts fills my diesel including filter change.

Does that have a screw in dipstick or a push in one ? If screw in like on a 3020-4020 check with it resting on the threads and not screwed in. Since that uses the smaller engine I'm thinking it may have a push in stick.

It is a push in stick. I have another 2510 gas (bought for parts or to restore) so I used its dipstick and it also comes up full on the mark. A little odd to me that does conform to the om.

I wouln't sweat it just go by the sticks you have.

I have had OM on 720 D models show 2 different things too.
