Okay, first please understand that I'm a newbie to this. I have a little mechanical aptitude and I'm working on someone's tractor....who has no mechanical aptitude. Today we backed his 3020 out of the shed with no problem. Parked it in the driveway with the (gas) engine running. We noticed the PTO shaft was turning so we pulled the lever back (left side of console) to stop it. It stopped the PTO. But, now the tractor will not move if you try the Powershift lever in either the forward or reverse directions. Help! What gives?

The lever on the left side of the console shuts off the drive train, (powershift, pto,). There should be a longer lever on the right side of the console or on the left side of the dash, this runs the pto. If it has a side console for the hydraulic levers along the right side of the seat then the pto lever will be on the left side of the dash where the hydraulic levers would be on a non side console model.

I think you pulled the lever to operate the engine disconnect clutch. On my synchro range 4020, the PTO clutch is on the right side. In some tractors the PTO brake isn't working well so the PTO turns even when not turned on. Sometimes thats cured by an adjustment of the linkage.

Gerald...sounds like you're right. Problem now is that I can't get the lever moved back! I must be doing something wrong.

There may be a knob connected to a latch that holds the lever. It looks kind of like a choke knob and I think it's in front of your left knee.
