I have a calendar "The John Deere Tractor Legacy 2007" by MBI Publishing Co. that shows a JD 5050 (July±). I have looked around the web for info on this unit but to no avail. I"ve even checked Deere"s web site but nothing shows up. It looks to be in the 6030/5020 size range and it looks like the tractor has a Cummins diesel in it. Does anyone know if Deere actually built this or is a custom tractor?

I think it's got a 4440 cab, 400 horse 855 Cummins, 5020 rear and tranny and an 8850 hood with a custom built fuel tank. I'm pretty sure that's right, it's in a book I bought at a farm show.

It's a Kinze creation.

Below is a link to the story. Unfortunately, it costs $ to see the whole story, unless you are Farm Show subscriber with a back issue.
