I want to put new tires on my 420W.So far these are my options I think.
12.4 X 28....45 degree Alliance
13.6 X 28....40 degree Titan
13.6 X 28 ...23 degree Firestone Track Field and Road.I want to try to keep tires as original as possible. What would you put on and are there any other options of tires that you know about that I am missing....Originals I believe were 12.4 X 28....45 degree.

I put the 13.6X28 45 degre tread ones from M E Miller Tire that say B F Goodrich on the side. That was on the power adjust rims.

John,

A 12-28 tire is what your tractor probably came on, and the 13.6-28 is the new measurement for that size.

I looked at M.E. Miller's website and it looks like the 13.6 X 28 tires from Alliance, Tread Type D will be awfully close to what you need. I know they probably don't have Goodyear, Firestone or Goodrich on the side, but they look good.

I've also seen some tires made in the Czech Republic or that general area of Europe that looked really good. Only problem I saw with them was that the tread seemed awfully deep. On the other hand, It's been 55 or 60 years since I saw a new tire on a tractor, so maybe my memory has faded a bit.

Good luck, my friend,
