I was wondering what you guys could tell me about the powerblock that is in my 1937 A. It is exactly 12 inches long, has no petcocks (thats fun to start), and has a raised block with maybe and 8 on it and next to that it is flat again and has what I belive to be a 7. It also has what I assume to be a SN tag with 295 on it. They all are arranged like this.

Front

8 7
295

Rear
This is on a 1937 A.
Thanks

I believe it may be a Heisler block, a post since yours on over high compression on a B mentioned an hi compression Heisler block as well as a heigh compression Heisler head

1 Dollar,
Power Blocks came with the letters Power Block and the size in inches, followed by a number indicating which series they fit, for example 6" 1. The letters are cast in the top, between the water outlet and the back of the block. While the letters could have been ground off, I'm not familiar with the cast numbers you have on your block. It must be some other aftermarket block. You might inquire on the pulling board - someone there may identify it.
