I have been told to adjust them cold, then again to adjust them hot. Also, I have been told different ways too adjust them. What is the right way to adjust the tappets?? I am also wondering what spark plugs to use. It is a 1927 D. Thanks in advance for any replys!!

Spark plugs: New style Champion 25, 1/2" pipe thread or old style Champion X take apart available new old stock from some vendors. Local suppliers may can cross the number to a Autolite also.

It doesn't really say hot or cold in JD manual but I have always done that method cold. If still too tight or loose can adjust them hot to 0.030 (I&T manual specs.) or look for other wear problems.
