On the right side under the belt pulley by the oil check pipe just above it and slightly forward is a raised two bolt casting with a number b2305r,it has something sticking out of it about an inch and a half.Looks like a washer,a nut,and another washer and then a hex cap about an inch long. What is this and what does it do? How many drain plugs on the trans and rearend.I see one under the rear and one futher forward under the trans but there is another bolt between them and off center. Is this bolt a drain? How much of what does this hold? There is a grease zerk at the end of each axle for the axle bearings and maybe the seal?I assume wheel bearing grease goes here. How many pumps with a grease gun or do I just pump it until it comes out?

The thing in front of the belt pulley with the tall nut and jam net under it is to ajust the engine oil presure. There are two transmission drain plugs the front one is a pipe plug and the rear one is a larger plug with a 3/4" square drive hole in it. The small pipe plug that is offset under there is flling a hole that was bored for the pto shift lever.

Do yourself a favor, and get an Operator's Manual for your tractor. 1-800-522-7448. Might want to think about getting the Parts Catalog and Tech Manual, too.

I ordered an operators manual and a shop manual on 12/7/04 and am still waiting for them. Was told that they were on back order and I should get them fairly soon. Was just trying to get a jump on some of the simple things. I agree with you that whenever someone gets something they know little about, get the books so you will know.Thank you.
