Watched "Perfect World" with Kevin Costner and Clint Eastwood. What model Deere is in the movie. I'm pretty sure its a 10 series by the way the handles are attached to the center console and not to the cowl. IS it a 3010 or 4010? anybody know?

I remember seeing a movie a while back with a 60 LP. It was an old horror flick, and if I remember right it was about a psycho neighbor kid stalking a widow and her family. It has been years since I saw it, and I can't remember any details except for the 60LP (I think), and I believe there barn got burned down. Any idea what movie this was??

In Kenny Chesney's music video, " She thinks my tractors sexy" there is a JD 50,60 or 70, not sure. Might be another, can't remember though.

What about the movie "A Family Thing" with Robert Duvall and James Earl Jones? I remember there being an older John Deere in Robert Duvall's shop near the start of the movie. Maybe an "A" or "B"? It's been a while since I've seen the movie.

"The Birds" {Alfred Hitchcock} had a late model A
"Twister" had a 4430 {or maybe a 4630}
"Paper Moon" with Ryan and Tatum Oneil had either an AR or a BR Remember the series "Then Came Bronson"? About the biker guy? One episode involved a John Deere dealership--

ANYONE REMEMBER RACE AGAINST THE HARVEST WITH WAYNE RODGERS? THEY HAD THEM OLD JOHN DEERE 95 AND 105 COMBINES, AND THE 8820 COMBINES WERE BRAND NEW. I WAS RUNNING AN OLD 95 FOR MY UNCLE THAT SUMMER WHEN IT CAME OUT.WE WERE ALSO RUNNING A 105 AND A 1959 GLEANER A, AND COULD ONLY IMAGINE HOW MUCH "FUN" IT WOULD BE TO TAKE THEM OLD COMBINES ON A HARVEST RUN.I BELIEVE THERE WERE SOME N6 GLEANERS ON THERE TO

Anybody remember a John Deere wide front in "La Bamba"? It's been a long time, but seems like it was a really wide styled A or B in the beginning of the movie.

Does anyone know the name of the made for tv movie in which Ron Howard was the main actor and also directed it? It was about a major feed contamination mix up at a feed mill that caused death to livestock and people. Ron Howard played the main farmer in the movie and many scenes of him driving a John Deere A. I saw the movie on tv somewhere around the late 70's.

The movie Con Air has an R in it, if I remember some old postings correctly. "Analize This"-I think this is the title, has a 30 series two cylinder in it. I think it was a 730, but it's been a while since I watched it.

Con Air wasnt an R it was a AR or BR, way to small for a R.

Analize This had a 730 with 18.4 radials and a bushhog too new for the time period if I remember correct. I think the sound was right though.

I think Mr. Douglas called it a "Hoyt-Clagwell" or something like that when he ordered parts for it. Anyone remember seeing the part where he is trying to pull a stump and the tractor falls apart and he grabs the chain and pulls the stump out by hand? That was funny!

Handsome Jim, at the start of the show it was a Deere GP but the tractor he had during the shows major run was a Fordson.. All the vehicles in the show [except the beginning shot] were Fords as Ford sponsored most of the shows.. I believe Oliver drove a Lincoln..

If I remember right, I believe the movie, "A RIVER RUNS THROUGHT IT" with Mel Gibson had a 2010 pulling a 2 row JD corn picker with a sheller attachment then there was the movie with Kevin Costner, "FIELD OF DREAMS", don't remember what that model that tractor was.

The tractor used in the "Field of Dreams" is a 2640 and as of July 2000 it was still on the farm, Don also has a nice near original "60" (about 1955), wife and I stopped there after "EXPO 10" on our way to "Grand Detour" and then on to the Mendota Ill. show to yak with JR Hobbs before heading back to central NY

The Bridges of Madison County featured a gas 4020 owned by Tom Manning of Granger Ia. He also had the pleasure of teaching Merel Street and Clint Eastwood to drive it. It draws lots of comments where ever he goes with it.

Yes, You have to look past the three as they are running away with the chicken from the farm. Back in the shadows behind them sits an unstyled row crop facing the camera shot. It is in the darken shade, but I'd bet my Deere hat its a John Deere.

I thought it was a GP because it had the arched front axle. The exhaust and flames are coming out of the air cleaner pipe too. Sounded like a v-8 when they got it to fire. Still a good movie, just needed a Deere guy on the set to help with details.

Con Air had a restored R wearing 18.8x34 Firestone 23 degree tires and a liberal coat of "dirt" to age it. Deadly Blessing used a restored early lettered LP two cylinder. Had my attention torn between the tractor and the lovely Sharon Stone in her first movie. Robert Redfords "Brewbaker" had an open flywheel two cylinder harvesting corn. Christmas to Remember had a GP or D and a 40 series FWD. Some movie with Michel Phiffer as a single Mom who worked as a waitress after dropping out of highschool. Set in some plains State or Province had her engineering a R.

In Dumb & Dumber their is a 4760 or 4960 FWA John Deere that they pass and a New Holland Combine at a farm. In the movie "The Straight Story" their is a bunch of John Deere equipment. Seen an episode of the "X Files" with a John Deere tractor on a farm. Seen a John Deere 86 or 8850 in a movie that I cannot remember the name of. Don't forget the music video "Crazy" by Aerosmith that has I believe a 4620 with a field cultivator on the back. That is a really cool video and what they do with the tractor. Montgomery Gentre has some Deere and various other brands of eqipment in the music video "Daddy Wont Sell the Farm". Their is several other country music videos with Deere tractors in them.
