I don't have an I&T yet, but was wondering what the compression should be for a '35 B. I've checked it three times (full throttle) and have consistantly come up with 45 lbs for No. 1 and 50 lbs for No. 2. They seem low to me but I would appreciate any info. Thanks in advance!

Is this on a tractor that hasn't been running for a while? Squirt some oil in the spark plug holes and see if that doesn't raise the pressure a little? Valves adjusted properly? If this is the compression on a tractor that is a runner, then it's pretty low, and needs some attention.

Yes it has been running. I"m in the early stages of restoration. I quess I"ll tear it all the way down. The head shows signs of recent work and the block above no. 1 spark plug is stamped 045. I hope it doesn"t need bored again. Thanks for the replys. blumer I"ll see you at work!!!

My I&T manual shows the following:

96,000-200,999 all fuel = 70 psi @ cranking speed

201,000 and up all fuel = 70 psi @ cranking speed

201,000 and up gas = 110 psi @ cranking speed
