I was on my newly bought 5020 tractor today and notice on the Exauste Manifold an oily film covering the lower exauste manifold bolt. This film goes down to the Head gasket area. It's not like it is streaming out, it looks as if it has been there for a while and is more of a "slow build up". None of the other exauste ports has this, it is just this one spot. My guess and hope is that it is just a valve guide, At least I hope it is may not even be that. I dont see it any of the intake manifold parts, just this lower bolt of the exaust manifold.

If any one has seen this and coul help me I would HIGHLY appritiate it..I am new to this

thank you

Nothing to worry about. Those engines will slobber a bit if not worked.Rings don't seal real well if not worked.Only will do it if used for light work for a while. Will clear right up when using a bit harder.

So...this really is really not a problem?? Why is it only on this last cylinder and not on the rest of them?

Most likely the only manifold gasket that leaks.
