I am going to remove the mag and I am wondering if there is anything important I have to do when I take it off. Thanks

Rob, as posted below, just remove the 2 mountign bolts if its a standard governor mount mag like many, it should pull straight out. I would clean and light lube the trip dog assembly in its coupler while it was out and when time to reinstall, like old told ya, it will either be right or 180 out which on some (non gear reduction drive types) can still be made to run by a simple wire reversal. If you need instructions on its replacement or start timing, post back or e mail me at jmn50@msn.com and the type mag it is.

That is one of the nice things about these old 2 cylinder tractors you can put the mag back on only two ways right or 180 out and if 180 out you just move the plug wires
