How much compression should a John Deere H have? and also what are the bolts on each side of the head for? thanks for the help!

Rman, the compression kind of depends on the cranking speed. But the spec is 80 PSI. at cranking speed [hot engine, carb & choke wide open]..
~Those bolts aren't really bolts....They are bearings that hold the rocker arm shaft on each end where it passes through the cylinder head sides.
