Ok, I admit I have more orange, than green in the barn. But I did buy an old JD to play with. It is a 1962 1010 model. I am trying to remove the radiator to get it fix. How do ya get it outta there with the sterring column going thru it. Do you have to remove the whole front sterring section? it's got to come out, cause it is full of acorn nuts, and leaks too. thanks

Hey, your route sounds pretty familiar! I grew up on a Farmall, bought an AC WD as my first tractor, sold it in a job location move and replaced it with a JD 1010. It will be interesting to see how much help you get from the J-D guys here. Most of them say "run" when somebody asks about a 1010, so I am not sure how many of them have actual experience with a 1010. If you don't get feedback, I think I can find an email address for a guy who helped me with some 1010 questions.

Loren,

Got that e-mail? I can't believe no responses on this. I haven't heard great things about a 1010, but i couldn't pass on it. One owner, 260 original hours. Been setting in a barn for 20 years. Any info would be great. thanks
