Folks: I have Farmhand F11-B on Oliver 88. I need to address the oil leaks at cylinder seals. I am not familiar with method of replacing these seals or source of new seals. ANy one with reference or advice?
Is there andy adjustment for tightening
such as torqueing nuts at cyliender ends?
Thank You
Charlie N.

No Sir,

It is a straight ahead repair.

On your loader tho, the cylinders are mounted into the frame "backwards" so you gotta take 'em clear off the loader to work on 'em.

Just pull it apart and start replacin' pieces. They've changed those seal kits a little, but you'll see how they go. Directions included in the kit.

The tubes will seal to the head with copper "squish" rings and the actual seals themselves have to be pointed in the 'right direction' as to the oil flow, of course.

Hi Charlie,

Those cylinders have to be rebuilt from time to time when they start doing what yours are; and no, they can't be "cinched up".

Farmhand is still in business, but are now owned by AGCO. Any dealer will have the kits and they run about $53 per cylinder, the last ones I bought.

The partsman will ask if you have the early or late style; since yours is a "B", it is the early style. Just click on the dealer locater below the picture.
