I recently swapped a sickle bar(Looks like a Ford 501 sickle bar) over from a Ford 601 workmaster to a Kubota L2050. Everything hooks up fine, except for the 2 brackets that come off the same pin that the lower arms connect to. The brackets use a ball and socket with the socket end clamping to the lower 3pt arms. The one on the left side also is used for part of the breakaway.
The problem is that the brackets sit under the lower 3pt arms, instead of on the inside edge of them, making it impossible to hook up.
Is there a way to attach these arms, or fix this in any way?
I'm going to try and attach a picture of this.
It's the bracket under the pto shaft in the picture.
Thanks for any help.

I have a blue 501 ....
I don't have that bracket on mine - that one appears to stabilize it left & right like the other poster said - but to raise the outer end of the bar mine has a bracearm that had been modified before i got it so i just slip it in a bolt hole that is on my left three point arm - then when the three point goes up it kinda makes a lever of sorts and lifts the outer end of the bar -

I use my 501 on a White tractor....

What is the point of those brackets anyhow? I see them on some of the 501's, but neither of mine has had them. Are they stablizers to prevent left/ right sway? Throw them away & use solid stablizers on your tractor linkage if such is available.

If not, then I donno.
