Hi Mud,

Probably a ton; maybe a ton and a half.

Never had occasion to weigh one. :>)

Thanks Allan. Might have a line on one, and the hauler is wanting to know what it weighs. I reckon their stout things.

I concur with Allans take on these loaders. Great piece of equipment.

One caution, depending on where you live, parts and accessories can be difficult to find. I am looking for an 8 foot bucket and the closest I have found is in eastern Nebraska (I live near KC).

But they are awesome loaders, wouldn't trade mine for a million bucks. Well, maybe a million...

I need it to stack bales onto traiilers and at the shed. We'll get a spear for it. I think thats about all we'll use it for, that and maybe to help get firewood out. I read that the cylinder seals are common enough to find. That so?

Mornin' Mud,

Yes Sir, Farmhand is still in business under AGCO and those seal kits are readily available.

On another note, I understand that we all have different needs and requirements, but I just can't get my mind wrapped around the idea of replacing a grapple fork with a spear.

Please be careful with those bales. As you already know, they can turn on ya like a rattlesnake. :>(

Yes Sir!

You're gonna love that loader, especially if you use the PTO pump. Fast, tough and high. :>)

Will I need that PTO pump on an Oliver 1850 then? That is what it just came off of. Don't think it's got a pump with it. Got a tank, and was rigged for grapples but comes with a small bucket.

No you don't need a pump as your unit will have plenty of volumn to handle the loader. You will need an additional outlet if you plan to use the grapple. It would probably be a little faster with the pto pump which is why it has a tank but you should not need it..
