Picked up a couple of manuals from ebay this week.
New Holland
Conventional Knotter service manual.
Good book. This is a whole lot more detailed than whats in the user manual.

New Holland heavy-Duty Twister service manual.
Pretty good manual for wire tie stuff.

New Holland Servicemans Trouble shooting hand book.
This book covers most all the equipmant that was avalible around the time of NH68 baler.

I also got a price list for all of the NH line of 1958. My NH68 sold new for $1795.

One book I have coming that I dont have yet. I have a big dealer service notes book. With notes for balers, Rakes,Mowers, Haybines and ect.

Now if I can just find my reading glasses.

I don't know if you remember kelly, but $1795 was one big chunk of money in 1958.

I was not around at the time, but I would guess $1795 was a very big chunk of a budget.
What was a working man getting paid? Some thing like $200 or $400 a month?
Cool book I like that kind of stuff. I used to have a whole lot of road maps from the 30's to the 90's. Amazing how some cities have grown over the years.

My folks built a 2400 sq ft two story with attached garage on a large lot in an upscale neighborhood way outside Detroit in 1960 for a total of $17,000. That might clarify things a little.
