I assume when you say a 4-bottom rollover you mean it has 4 bottoms up and 4 in the ground. With a plow like this it is not just a question of horsepower but the weight of the plow. You need a heavy tractor with a strong lift for such a plow. I would say 90-100+ horsepower minimum and front end weights. A FWD tractor you could get by a little smaller.

Claude: Do you mean 140 or could it be 540? Is this plow a semi-mount? If it is the 540 semi-mount either 3 or 4 inch bore cylinder will work. I liked the 4" best on 656 tractor as it made the raise and lower of the back of the plow just a bit slower, thus more even headlands. This will also be affected by the specific tractor and the gpm of it hydraulic pump. No problem for either cylinder to lift, it's all about timing.

Hugh, I think he's got a fully-mounted rollover 2-way plow. Current CaseIH model is the 145. Probably wants to know what cylinder it needs to switch directions.

Tim: you hit the nail on the head, I had forgotten about those rollover plows. Of course that is what he is talking about. I can't help him with that one. The only thing I know about an IH rollover plow is the right turning plow point use a left hand thread bolt and the left turning points use a right hand thread. The only reason I know this is partsman gave me right hand thread bolts for my semi-mount. I spent the day blessing him and tightening plow points.
