Am looking at an old breaking plow with 3 14" bottoms. Ford metal label says IOI then says Io458 and Serial no. 6684. Wings have number 10440 on them. Needs new wings, slides, shins, and points. Are parts available? At a reasonable cost? Do these model and serial numbers make sense to anyone? All help appreciated.

Jerry is correct, this is the best plow to have, parts are also available from your local New Holland (Ford) dealer at competitive prices, there are 2 different styles of landsides, one has 2 5/8" bolts and the other uses 1 5/8" and 1 7/16 bolt to hold the on, check yours before going for parts.

You have a 3 bottom 14" shear bolt plow made from 1959 until at least 1981. If it is red it is 59-62 and blue from then on.

As for the parts
Agri-Supply handles all of the parts you need as do most farm supply houses. You could not have a more common, "parts are available" plow to own.

BTW They call plow points rock shares.
