In my area of New Jersey, at least, they have no value as antiques. At auction, one will usually sell for $25 or less, then the buyer rips the wheels off and leaves the rest there. Its a shame too, because they were good drills.

I have a superior one horse grain drill yes one horse power and it has all the bells and whistles except the top to the hopper it is a horse drawn single steel wheel in the front 5 hole grain drill it drives off the front steel wheel with a semi horizotal gear on a speed or population sliding settting shaft i pick it up at a auction it has to be turn of the century planter can any body out there help in finding out the year or any info on this piece of history it is in very clean hardly used shape the drill has wooden handles with the raines loop on the left handle and has the harness bar on the front hook 5row single discs on the out side two rows and two in the middle im guessing 1890s to 1915 as far as the year it was made all info would be welcome to help complete this beautiful piece of farm history thank you

In amish areas good drills up to 2 - 300 dollars
