I know of a model #12 if that will help you at all. I am also looking for information about this model of the Vulcan Plow Company in Evansville, IN. This plow is a 10 in. and it also has the number 852 on it. My main question is when it was made. I have found an article in The Chronicle of the Early American Industries Association, Volume 43, Issue 2, Page 56. I have not read it but found a listing in an index on the internet. Check out the web page www.eaia.org for some more information. Also, I have found a site called Rumely Products Collector's Inc. it might help you also. Let me know if you find anything or need a picture of this #12 plow. I am located 20 miles east of Evansville, IN

I have a very old Vulcan#10 Hillside Plow that belonged to my grandfather. The plow has been been stored inside a barn out of the weather for many, many years and is in extremely good condition. I was curious what sort of price these plows might go for.

Amanda:
I have a Vulcan drawn plow made in Evansville.
Would you be able to send me a picture to confirm.
I am also trying to determine the age.
I have a ranch in Eastern Oregon where the plow has been sitting for many years. I recently moved it and was curious about any help to learn more about it.
Seems like it has numbers on every basic part.
Appreciate any help.
Chris

I am presently restoring a 13R Vulcan plow, dated 1897 (cast in moldboard). I have as yet found nothing on Vulcan before 1900. Upon disassembly the color is very clearly yellow. Any info before 1900?
