Typically there is a bar with ball sockets on both ends from the lower right side. The free end of this has a clamp on it that goes over the lower right lift arm and clamps on. As you lift the 3pt, the angle of the 3pt arm changes, so this bar lifts the far side of the mowerbar up.

A lot of times the top part of the clamp is 'missing' (probably in a bucket on the hayrack with other unknown parts....) and it costs like $50 to replace from NH.

The clamp is designed to fit a Ford lower arm. Might take a bit of tinkering to make it clamp onto other brands (fatter metal, or a brace or bracket in the way, etc.).
