Could be one modified for vegatable hilling or a pivot track filler.

Disc type bedders were popular in some areas also.

yep...thats it... in reply to dobber, 03-01-2008 09:33:22
i'm almost positive mine has more than 2 blades per gang but same principle...my dad bought that thing years ago and told me to get it working...i never could figure out how to get it adjusted to make beds rite so i stuck it behind barn...it was all greased up and blades were like new last time i messed with it.
i guess i'll buy a qt of green paint and haul it to auction and try to swap it off for something i can use.
thanx

Hilling or bedding is not normal up here, but is it something like this machine? A hiller?

never get rid of anything jd. somebody will want it. problem is that i don't have a clue about what your describing. can you go to implement photos and see if you can find something to match what you have. does it just have 4 big disk on it set at an angle.

It sounds like it is 2 disc that throws dirt toward each other to make a bed to plant on.

i cant remember if its 3 or 4 blades per gang but they throw dirt up in a seed bed...i guess it could be used for cultivating too...i got a plow to make my beds with.
