Hey all, I got the wise idea that It would be best that instead of setting my depth by using the top link, I would build a shoe that mounts horizontally to the runner. If Anyone has a planter that has this on it, I could use some dimensions & what they think about it. I think it would be great to have, but that is my opinion. Let me know what you all think.

Rob

I would go to a gauge wheel or depth band. You would also need to let the planter "float" somehow. Maybe a chain in stead of a toplink? I sold my 309 and got a JD70. It is nearly identical to a 71, and parts are easier to get.
