Hi folks. I'm looking at a pair of cultivators for my Farmall H. The guy wants $300. They are complete and in good shape. Does this price sound like a good deal? Thanks for any input!

Thats up to you, I don't know how long or how hard you have been looking. I'd want to pay more like $150, cultivators shuold go fairly cheap because they demand for them is gone now.

I have a set came off was told M but would fit H to been told. $50.00 it yours if that helps better yet come look and see. That price of 300 sounds wya high from what I have seen of those. half that would be a premium to pay in my eyes. They just don't have much value ususally, none of the little 2 row units do.

That depends on where you are, they are in demand in tobacco country. Not as much as 8 or 10 years ago, there is still a demand for two row units.

They can be had a little cheaper if you can find them when you want them. Around here that is about the going rate for a good complete set from a dealor. Depends on which model they are. There is a lot of cultivating done here in the tobacco fields. At one time you couldn't give them away here, but in the late 70s and 80s lots of farmers started using two row tobacco setters and then Cs and Hs were in demand to plow two rows at a time. I would make a offer short of that asking price and see were it lands.
