Hey Allan or anybody who knows, how much does a Farmhand F10 weigh?

I found a nice one sitting in some trees with several heads, guy said he was thinking about cutting it up for scrap but didn't think it would be worth the work. I figure if I pay him scrap price and he doesn't have to cut it up he will take it without question.

Not much.

500-800 lbs without the head maybe?

I know I can lift the things by hand to reposition/move around on the mounts.

That's what I figured, I was thinking around 750 pounds...now I need a tractor to put it on.

Do you know which is newer, the red/green ones or the orange? Or same time, painted for different markets?

Totally green are the oldest, red/green, then the orange, orange w/external tilt cylinders and finally the "reddish tinted" ones with the black stripping.

Farmers liked 'em because of their light weight/lift ratio.

Thanks again Allan. Amazing how many people dislike or don't know about the F10's. I've got 2 on M's, have to see if I can find something to put this one on. Or maybe do a reversed truck chassis under it...Would love to find an F25 sitting in a tree row for the same price...they are a bit tougher to find though.

Around Sterling is one of the few areas of the country where these are still in regular use. Still quite a bit of loose hay put up then ground around Sterling.
