Does anyone with experience with a MF 39 2 row planter know of a source for seed plates -corn, sorghum, beans, pumpkins, etc.
Any experiences with this planter you'd care to share?
Thanks!

I don't have any experience with a 39 planter but I have every corn plate and a bean plate available for a 1968 model 46 6 row planter which would sell.

Barney, Have you tried your seed supplier. We were
MF dealers for 50 years and thru this era. We never seemed to sell a plate because the seed corn
and other suppliers would furnish the plates. I
have a parts and op. manual but there are about
80 different plates listed for all crops and what
p/n would be a challenge. Chuck

Chuck,
Thanks for this information. I will talk to the local seed folks. I'm new in the area and don't have any farming experience, but your input helps.

Most seed corn dealers have supplied JD and IH plates to their customers. They most often got them from Lincoln Ag Products. These plates often worked in AC planters (with a "filler" for inner ring) and a bunch of other brands of planters.

It's possible that MF planter used JD or IH plates.

Can you show us a picture of a Massey Furgeson plate?
