I am wanting to know, what is the biggest disc
my tractor can pull without hurting it?
I've been told by some 6ft. others tell me a 8ft?

I used a Super C to work up the garden last year. It had a fast hitch 2 bottom plow and 6' disc. With the down pressure on the hyds you could sock that disc in till you choked off the tractor. I wouldn't want to use anything bigger unless you added weights to the front. If you're using a pull type, 8' might work but it might have to be weighted down too much for the tractor to pull to do anything worthwhile.

I use a fairly heavy 8foot MF 3pt hitch disk on my Farmall 200. Have a 3pt hitch conversion on the 2pt hitch on the tractor. Pulls it fine under most conditions, unless disk sinks to the axles in sand! 200 is the follow up to the Super C, and is almost identical.

I think a six foot disk would be the one for the Super C. We used an H on our 8 foot Case disk back in the 1950's. Hal

We used a Farmall Super C from the early 60's to the mid 80's.

My neighbor now uses the tractor for his "truck patch"

I still use the 6' disk and 5' Bush Hog with my John Deere tractors.

As I remember the 6' disk works great with the Farmall Super C.

We did have to add railroad iron for additional weight, so watch the "light" front end.

When we got the Case disk we still had a 10-20 McCormick Deering and it was a load for the 10-20.
The H handled it ok. I had a Super C with the fasthitch and the 2 bottom moldboard plow. It did a fine job plowing my garden. I should've never sold it. Hal

I was reluctant to mention the "fasthitch" drawbar that was on the Farmall Super C.

Heard alot of "colorful" words from my dad when trying/attempting to "fasthitch" to the Bush Hog rotary mower.

Inserting the two-pointed implement drawbar was no problem, but aligning the notches and ringed latches was a pain.

We had a long handled "J" hook that came with the tractor designed to pull the ringed latches out of the notches.

Since he beat the ringed latches down into the notches with a small sledge, using the "J" hook from the tractor seat was impossible for a 10 year old kid.

More fun than starting it with the hand crank! My right arm is still 3" longer than my left from hand cranking that tractor.

I really enjoyed those days as a kid driving that old tractor.

I really liked the fasthitch. You could hookup to the plow without getting off the tractor. I think I did get off to close the latches. I blew one of the hydraulic lines when plowing just before I sold it. It happened on the last furrow
when I lifted the plow. I made two new hoses in at work and replaced the pair. We had a C at home too and it wasn't that easy to hook to the plow. Hal
