Can someone tell me if the wheel bushings for the ezee flow spreader are two piece? Does the parts breakdown happen to give a size or part number from which I could get a size? I have a model 100D.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

James

Sorry about the short post. The computer went stupid.Okay, here we go.Ezee Flow built spreaders with a minimum of lubricated parts. The reason was to keep it affordable. The axles look the same, but are different in way. Make sure when you take them out be sure to put them back the same way.Notice the ends have a square end machined on them. This is a wear point. If they need repaired just build them up with a 7018 rod and grind back to flat. The handle on the box is the agitator lock.Turn a half turn and pullup on it.Grab hold of the agitators and pull them out.I used to get these spreaders to fix up and sell.I have a 88D in the shed now that my dad bought new in the early 60s.The correct size of the bushings reads 2-1/8" O.D.,2" I.D. 2" long. The company went away in the late 70s,so parts are rare.Good Luck.

Charlie

Charlie:

I just purchased a EZ Flow 88D that is in perfect working order. I would be very interested in getting a copy of the manual. I would be more than willing to pay for the cost of a copy. Would that be possible?

Thanks for your reply. That owners manual doesn't happen to have a parts break down in the back does it?
The wheels run on bushings, not bearings. They are cylindrical, and I'm assuming they are two piece. One pressed into the hub from each side with a gap in the middle. The one I have out has worn the bushing in half on one side. I haven't tried to get the other half out yet.

Can you tell me what the rotating handle is for in the middle on top of the box?

Thanks,
James

Im not sure if this will help you but what I do when I get into something like this I take apart the good side to get the numbers off the bearings so I can order new ones.
