Can anyone send me post a picture or send me one that shows a side hill hitch mounted on a JD A, B, or G? I have a 1951 G and have the side hill hitch and wanted to mount it on for shows while pulling my #55 JD plow. I'm just not sure how it mounts on back of tractor. Everytime I try to put it on, the bolt holes don't seem to line up correctly. Thanks for any help.

Are you sure you have the correct hitch for your tractor, different model tractors with the different style drawbars took different controls and mounts?

I can't say 100% sure but I thought this lever fit all of the styled As,Bs, and G axle housings.

I cant remember just how they fasten on but one ov the members of one of my antique tractors has some on his tractors. If I remember correctly they fasten to the bolts in the rear axle housing with a connection to the hitch and I thing there is a difference in the measurements there on the B to A and then to G. If I had time to hunt up my books I may be able to find out.

Up here in the Canadian Rockies, we have hybrid mountain goats we call "sidehill gougers". Some have short legs on the left side and long legs on the right which allows them to travel around the mountain in an anti-clockwise direction
without falling off. If a male breeds an anticlockwise female, no problem, offspring are more of the same; however, if he does a clockwise female, the baby goats will either have short fronts, long rears, or long fronts, short rears, causing them to lose stability and tumble down the mountain. I'm not sure if this theory applies to your John Deeres as "nothing runs like a Deere". Hope this helps, just kidding, regards from the great white north.
