I'm having a hard time finding info on this for some reason. I'm trying to hook up a single bottom plow to my farmall A and can't figure it out. I'm new at this and I think I need to turn the draw bar around toward the front of the tractor or something of that sort. Any help would be great. Can I hook a cub snow plow to my A also?

The A uses the setup HAS described and the super A is what MLD described. They are different hookups on the front, and the lift on the back is different since the super A had hydraulics. HTH

It's been awhile since I did it on our Super A, but I'll give you an idea of what its like. You do need to turn the drawbar around, maybe even move it up to the front set of studs. The plow bolts up to the holes in the drawbar, I can't remember which set. There is an adjustable rod that connects from that to the front rockshaft. This will set your plow point, don't forget to takeout the bolts in the drawbar that hold it stationary, it needs to move up & down. Then there is a chain on the back of the plow that hooks to the rear rockshaft to raise & lower it in the ground. You will only need to move the front rockshaft for opening the fur & setting the plow, once it set you should be able to leave it. Its not really hard, but it is a lot of work compared to todays 3 point hitch. Flipping the drawbar is the worst because its heavy & your jambed up under the tractor. But... I guess back in the day it was better than a horse, & the plow stayed on the tractor until all the plowing was done. Hope this helps you some??

As far as I know the A takes a plow made for an A. You would have to do some measuring to get another plow to work - it should not take much modification.

For teh A plow you have to take off all the drawbars. Mine has two, one horseshoe shaped for the rear and one straight one bolted to the front of the wheel housing. The is a part i call a wishbone that pins to the two holes at the front under the magneto. It is to the rear of the heavy housing that has the square holes for the cultivators. This then hooks to the front of the plow. Then you use the cultivator lift in the middle of the tractor to adjus tthe anglke of attack of the plow point. The rear of the plow is supported and lifted up & down by the rear rock shaft.

Do you have any pics of this hook up or is there a farmall guide of some sort that shows hook-ups for different attachments for these tractors that you're aware of? Thanks Dale

I don't have a picture - I sold my plow and cultiuvators last year. They were just rusting away and I wanted someone to use them.
