It appears that theres not very many SP-9 Case combines still around.Has anyone ever seen one?I have a poor picture of one in SE Nebraska that a guys checking on for me.

I know of a rough one in Washington state and thats it.The SP-12's seem to be much more plentiful.

I think that I know of another one in WA. Not for sure that it is a SP9, but I think so, has an SE powerplant. Don't know much about it other than I know that Dad drove it on and off the trailer when he hauled it home a few years back. Just to clarify, the 9 is the header width? Does an SP12 use the DE engine? Mike S.

Mike, Thanks for the info.Do you have any pictures of your Dads SP-9?As mentioned the SP-9 has a 9 ft head and the S engine.

The SP-12's have the D series engine. The early ones had a 12 ft header and the later ones had either a 12 or 15 ft header.

I hope to be hauling this free SP-12 home from Oklahoma in a few months.

I don't currently have any pics of it. It has been so interestign seeing all of the combine pics that you have posted on here I will make an effort to get some pics of several antique combines still on the farm. I have fixed up an All Crop 60 and a 403 hillside for my hobby acres.

was that the model that had the operators platform on the right hand side? I used to know where there was one of those here in northeast colorado but I am not sure if it is still there.

Well, let's see we started out with two days in Denver/Fort Collins left there and went to Moab Ut. dealing with the big brush fire on the way for a day left there and went to Mt Zion State Park again brush fire issues spent a couple days and then visited with my ailing BIL in SLC Utah on a Sat. morning we left about 8am heading for Cheyenne on I80 stopped at the Harley dealer there and then headed for Denver by the airport to stay the night we stopped and ate in a couple places arrived in the hotel about 9pm. Left the next day for home. Next time we're going to bring the bike and do Yellowstone and some of Mont. I love it out there my wife is a shopper so she's not into the open road so much but me its a bike on the open road and farming I'd like to hit about harvest time watching the cutters and taking pictures.BTW when is harvest time up your way?

Jeeze you were about 30 miles from my house. It all depends on moisture, last year someone cut wheat on June 31, it usually is in the middle of July when we get the moisture.

Well Lance next time I head that way I'll let you know probably be on a new road bike with built in GPS and weather radar when we got into Cheyenne at the Harley dealer the sun was shinning and a beatiful day then when we left after about an hour it was thunder and lightining and pouring down rain I don't mind getting caught in the rain but lightining is another story. We were in a car this time so no harm no foul.

Geez I forgot 1206, I took some pictures of some Case SP combines on our whirlwind tour of Colorado,Utah and Wyoming but I'm afraid they are either too far away or they may have been 12's because I'm assuming the number was the cut width. I've got to get my wife's digital camera or her laptop and see where they are filed. I'm sorry I totally forgot CRS I guess. The good news is somewhere on there I have a picture of a pretty nice IH combine at the entance of Mt Zion state park.

Its looking more and more like very few SP-9 Cases have survived. They had a 9 ft header where the SP-12's had either a 12 ft or 15 ft header.

Tom Stanley do you have one?

I remember Roy G from the bashing forum.
