Is that the same plant that made the later x31 seris?

Is there somewhere I can look for a serial no?

IH did have a combine plant in Lille, France. The 8-x1 series combines were made there in the mid to late 60s. I can't find reference to an 8-51, but I did find 8-31 and 8-41 models.

Used to drive an inter 221 combine, 8-51 looks similar but made somewhere else? or maybe older?

Age sounds about right, I note some 8-41 combines advertised in France forsale, maybe a smaller model? mine has a 10 foot front on it
