Heres a picture of my 611 Ford SP combine sitting on my trailer Saturday afternoon in St Joe,Kansas. We had 300 miles ahead of us.

My new 8000 lb winch sure works great for loading combines but my recently purchased 1991 F-350 Ford 7.3 diesel is gutless. No power and terrible fuel mileage.11 mpg empty and 5-6 loaded.

e-mail me if you want to sell your truck.

I have a superduty pre-powerstroke 7.3 with a bad engine and was going to buy a used truck for donor engine.

Yep, you need a turbo on that rig. The old ambulances I drove with the non-turboed 7.3's were gutless, especially after they got a few miles on them.

I drove ambulance for our volunteer service a couple of years and one unit was the old non-turbo engine. Gutless wonder. So the service had a turbo put on it but they wouldn't turn up the pump because of warranty. So they spent a lot of money to still have a gutless wonder. But on the other hand the EMTs liked it because we couldn't throw them around the back with it.

1206, Man,you're killing me here! Every April and October I have a yearning to go to Kansas and just drive the backroads.I love Kansas, but I haven't got to go the past couple years and your picture is just a reminder of what I'm missing.

Scott

Give Banks a call, they will wake up the 7.3. I rode in a 7.3 with the Banks kit, it wasn't a powerstroke, but a huge step up...I'm sure the mileage will improve too.

Nice looking rig for hauling though.

I'd thought about a Banks turbo but a kit is $2500 plus.I may get a rebuilt injection pump and new injectors. It has to have fuel problems.

Get on Bank's mailing list. I had a 6.9 and was on the list, got a flyer that had the 6.9 stuff on sale for around 60% of retail...unfortunately I didn't have the money at that time...and that 6.9 let a rod go not long after that...
