Joe,I just talked to a guy in NC Kansas and he says a collector in his area has a couple of Fordson Gleaners and he might sell them.He couldnt remember the guys name.I guess he has several old combines.

If you want to see one running, come to the Pioneer Village at the Indiana State Fair this August. Its on display every year. The Indiana State Fair will be extended two days starting this August to a 13 day run.The Pioneer Village is really something to see. They always have a huge auction as a fund raiser on the last Saturday of the fair.Probably have about 200 tractors on exhibit plus live demonstrations of about anything you can imagine.Do a google search for the schedule for this year.

I just can't help but think that you would have some major biceps after running that thing for a harvest. But then most men in those days were very strong from the work they did. I have seen one several times in Pioneer Village in Minden NE. My Dad says it came from a neighbor's farm.

Yup he had that on Ebay. Created quite a stir over on the A-C page. Comes to me it had a reserve that was not met but had what I thought to be a purdy steep bid for what is left of it. Later a story was told that they were using Ebay to get a value on it for some unknown reason and that it could not be bought for any money but that could have been pure BS too. There is a nice one up in Sak that ran wheat at one of the big A-C shows two years ago.

Hello, don't get over here much but had to come check out what the 'buzz' causing the bump in web-traffic coming from here was all about ;-)
Yes, I still have the Allis and it earns it's keep on the auger and grain-vac. The original alternator bearings finally gave out so I put a 1-wire conversion of a Delco SI on it last summer. Also replaced the front crankshaft seal that had weeped since it was a new tractor. Other than that, it continues to be a trouble-free machine. How are you coming on your restoration?
Take care.
Ed B.
