Albert,I've found most of my combines by using want ads in farm magazines.Believe me they work.I also used to have a huge antique tractor collection so know alot of people which sure helps. There are no combine collectors at all in this area so I dont have any competition. The guy that I bought my T Gleaner from was amazed that I even knew what one was.He let me have it at a decent price since I was going to keep it shedded and not scrap it.I think his worst fear was that I was just buying it just for the motor like most are. Yesterday I looked at a AC 100 that had been bought 5-6 years ago just for the motor. It had been shedded up to that point. With no motor and rotted out tires I had to pass on it for the time being. I also looked at a 21A Massey that I know has sat outside for a long time as I looked at some tractors near it in 1977.Its totally rusted out and is parts only.It still has the original drive tires on it with lots of tread.Probably was parked in the early 60's.Theres a big MM baler near it with Wisconsin engine. Its restorable. Combines I know own are the following. Super 27 Massey Gleaner T-3 35 Massey with corn head 35 Massey with grain head (2) parts 35 MH's 91 IH with corn head 91 IH with grain head-no motor I have less money in these than what one average restored M Farmall would cost. The big problem is hauling them and having enough shed room.Thats why combine collecting will never get big.
