I have a good old gravely convertible that just doesn't start. It usually fires once and then quits. I don't think it is a fuel problem. When checking the spark, it looks like it is getting an initial spark when the spring recoils and then none or very weak. I have replaced the condenser. Any thoughts?

Are the points clean and gappad correctly? Have you checked the resistance on the coil windings?(primary should be .5-1 Ohm and the secondary 5000-8000 Ohms) Is it timed correctly?
Do you have compression? Just some thoughts. If you need more in depth help feel free to email me or post the question at this link.
