briggs Stratton 12.5 hp

Hey guys, I need a replacement engine for my dyna mark riding mower. The engine that is in it is a briggs & stratton I/C engine model # 289707, type 0114 02 & code 9402184d. Are there replacement engines available?

I do not think the 14.5 Briggs in on the special program any more. I repowered 3 Snappers last year with that 14.5. One was one I wasfixing up to sell. I sold it to a couple. Their other mower was one of rhe 33 inch Snapper. They were so happy with the mower I sold them, thay conntacted me a month ago to repower the 33. I contacted my B&S dealer about another 14.5. The replacment is a 17 HP single. you have the price right. About $400.00 with the heavier 9 amp charging system. I have already spoken for an engine, just waiting for the weather to clear-up.

Kent, you are right, I sold quite a few last year, I had forgot they changed to a 17hp.

Go to your local Briggs dealer, Briggs has a 14.5 hp engine on a special program for about $400.00. Then if you have problems, he can also take care of it
