I'm restoring a MF7 ,I have seen the throttle cable run 2 ways , one way is the long way , cable snakes around between gas tank and battery and runs across the cowl then to throttle hook up. The other way (short way) is down the right side (from seat) to throttle hook up. I want to hook mine up the short way but it was orginally ran the long way and that is the cable I have . I need a reverse acting cable. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and where to get correct cable? Thanks.

Remove the tee handle knob from throttle handle, unbolt bracket/cable assembly from dash, rotate same 180 deg & reinstall, this will reverse cable travel relative to legend on dash, cut cable & caseing to length needed. If this doesn't work for you & tractor is a mf7 from the 70's try your local simplicity dealer,in the 70's some simplicity & mf tractors were made by same mfg.
