My Craftsman is in need of more welding....driving me nuts.
It is the 50" deck and the welds are just letting go.
Neighbor has a Woods mowin machine, 60" deck, 18 hp. engine, with 2000 hours.
He said he'd take $2000.00 cash.
Starts, runs, cuts, and drives very nice.....is this a decent price or just average?
Looking to make an upgrade as the 6 year old craftsman is struggling with 4 acres.
Opinions appreciated.
Mark

you didnt say what engines on the mowin machine,or how old, but 2000 hours ,that engine might be about worn out.if its deisel engine its not high hours. i have a mowin machine with 18hp kohler command gas engine, and it needed overhaul at about 2000 hours,no big deal for me. i like that mower ,but with 18hp,its bairly enough engine if you cut any high grass. but new mowin mmachines that size are about 7000.00 so i guess 1500.00-2000.00 would be fair if its in good shape. lucas

A feller brought his mower deck to me-said all the brackets had busted the welds, or had torn out of the deck! So, i made L-shaped brackets, and welded them into the correct positions. Seemed to work! saw him using it later on in that summer.
