my cub will launch into high on the level when i am mowing. example: when i am mowing at a set speed it will go OK for awhile and then it feels like i pushed the lever all the way forward.

please advise

Well, there could be a number of reasons, but the first one I would tackle first, is the "friction" adjustment at the end of the lever shaft. There should be 7 to 10 pounds of drag to prevent the lever from moving on it's own.

I think that might be a problem - the reason i say that is because from time to time the lever is very loose to move and other times is very stiff to move. - i will check that

My Wards tractor did that when it was new. It would come back to neutral without touching the lever. I read the manual and it said to tighten
a bolt or screw beneath the tractor. That fixed the problem. Hal
