I have a lt133 you can start it and it will run for a little while then it will die. After sitting until cooled it will start up. Any ideals. Is the ign. module heating up?

First, the cheapeast possibility,

loosen the gas cap and see if it restarts. The vent hole can be plugged, and after running awhile, a vacuum is created in the fuel tank, and the engine starves for fuel. You might hear the air entering the tank as you loosen the cap also.

second possiblity, ignition module is going bad. Sometimes they work until hot, and then don't. sometimes they work again when they cool off. sometimes they don't.

When the engine stops, check for spark using a spark tester, or remove the plug, connect it to the wire, and lay the electrode on a bare metal surface of the engine. look for a fat blue spark when cranking then engine. Becareful as the plug will be hot.

I checked the gas cap this morning first thing, you can blow through it easy. Cranked it up ran for about 30 minutes just fine. Cut it off and tried to restart after 10 minutes, after motor sat there and got hotter, no luck and no spark. Let cool and starts right up.Sounds like module to me also. Just like a truck will do sometimes. Thanks for the help. It always good to have another set of eyes on things. Keith
